Bye Bye Baby

Kiah lost her first tooth. It has been wiggly for awhile now. She didn't tell me it was loose... I found out on my own. I was talking to her one day and it seemed like there was something in her mouth. At that instance I felt like I was looking back in time and forward to the future at the same time. I found an adult tooth coming in behind the baby tooth. I had this exact same problem. I actually had to have most of my front baby teeth pulled. Then I had to have braces because my teeth were too crowded... which is why my adult teeth started to grow in behind. So I took her in to see the dentist. He said her teeth look great, but she will need braces some day.

Sometimes it is amazing to me how similar Kiah is to me.  It is a little scary at times.  I was hoping the kids would luck out and get teeth more like Chris, but so far..... it isn't turning out that way.  I know what the future holds.

Good-Bye, Good-Bye

Parting is NOT such sweet sorrow.

When Kiah started Kindergarten she became great friends with a little girl named Kindall. We heard about her everyday after school. They did everything together at school. We got to meet Kindall at ab Open House at school. She was a sweet little girl. Then a few weeks later we found out that Kindall had moved. Kiah was sad.

Then recently Kiah had started to play with the little girl who lives across the street, Tiffany. They would play all afternoon and evening. Tiffany would even, on occasion, have dinner with us. Well, a little over a week ago we found out she was moving, and moving soon, meaning that weekend. So I let Kiah play with Tiffany pretty much as much as she wanted until she moved. They really lucked out and they canceled school (because of an Ice Storm) on Tiffany's last day. So they got to play all day together.

100 Days

Last week was the 100th day of school. Notice I did not say Kiah's 100th day of school. The girl has missed so much school this year. I have gotten letters home from the district about it, sheesh. Luckily, she is doing well. But whether you have attended all 100 days or not, there was still a little celebration.

Notice the dark circles under Kiah's eyes. She actually had been out sick the first part of the week because of the flu. She apparently threw-up allover the art room. oops!

I remember learning to count to 100 in Kindergarten. It was a big deal. So it is really exciting for me to see Kiah beginning the process.
