100 Days

Last week was the 100th day of school. Notice I did not say Kiah's 100th day of school. The girl has missed so much school this year. I have gotten letters home from the district about it, sheesh. Luckily, she is doing well. But whether you have attended all 100 days or not, there was still a little celebration.

Notice the dark circles under Kiah's eyes. She actually had been out sick the first part of the week because of the flu. She apparently threw-up allover the art room. oops!

I remember learning to count to 100 in Kindergarten. It was a big deal. So it is really exciting for me to see Kiah beginning the process.

Tubes

Kiah had tubes put in today. It went very well. She still had a lot of fluid in her ears. The doctor said it was VERY thick. Hopefully things will be a bit easier in the ear infection department for our family.

Ear infection

Kiah has 2 ear infections and a sinus infection. It is at least her 4th round of ear infections this year. But I think it might be more than that. She is going to get tubes later this month. She had to get x-rays to see if she needed her adnoids out too.

Raccoon

Kiah went to take the trash out today. She came back in stating the trash can was moving. So Gram grabbed the flashlight to go out and inspect. They found a Raccoon in the trash can! No wonder the can was moving

Ladybug

Kiah drew this her first day of school. The letter of the week is "Ll"

Kindergarten

Yesterday Kiah started Kindergarten. It is hard to believe. REALLY hard to believe. She has been excited for this day for so long.

First we dropped Eli off at preschool. I just had a feeling it would be much easier with one less child while doing the drop off. I did snap a few pictures of her before we left the house. My parents used to do this with my brother and me, so it just doen't feel like the first day of school without some pictures taken. Then we headed over the Kiah's school. I found a parking space then we walked to the crossing guard (the lot we are asked to use is the Church parking lot across the street.) It was a mad house! There were cars and people everywhere. I walked Kiah to her room. She went right in and I turned around and walked away. It all happened very quickly.

So I spent the day running errands with just Annalise at my side. (I mean that literally since I still carry her on my hip)

At 3:20 I headed over to pick her up at school. Again it was crazy. But somehow I found her in the mass of people waiting for rides. As we got int he car I asked her about her day.

Luna: What did you do today?
Kiah: colored
Luna: Any thing else?
Kiah: had music class. I like music class.
she then went on to explain something I didn't really understand. I think it must have been a pointer of some sort, but she made sur I knew it would not hurt her. She also talked about dragonflies and how they will bite and kill you. And she couldn't go outside to play because it was too hot and when it gets cooler they can go outside. She sat on the green square on the carpet.
Kiah: can you give me money for Chocolate milk next time
(oops, I forgot to pack a drink)
Kiah: when do I go again?
Luna: Tomorrow
Kiah: what about the next day?
Luna: you will go everyday
Kiah: for how long?
Luna: uh, the rest of your life, just like Daddy.

Shoot, not a good sign when she is already tired of school and she only went one day!

I did find out that it was the craziest first day of school drop off ever. And The kindergartners get out early so I can pick her up early.

Ear Infection

Kiah started to complain of an ear ache last night. So I took her to the doctor today. She has an ear infection. I thought she was finally over these. This is the second one this year!
